Features of the Department of Music
Programs are aimed to cultivate performing art of music expertise, professional music knowledge and teaching capability in order to strengthen their general expertise of academic researches, employment competence and also inspire the local consciousness and world views. What’s more, there are cross-disciplinary courses such as ‘Jazz music theory and practicality’, ’computer music’ and ‘pop music’, etc. Additionally, the department is affiliated with 2-year graduate program and Secondary education program which mainly focus on music teaching, providing professional education courses and qualified assessment.
Teachers
There are 10 full-time instructors, including 3 professors, 4 associate professors, and 3 assistant professors. Additionally, there are also 55 adjunct instructors graduating from prestigious music institutes with highly expertise either domestically or overseas. With their practical experiences and professions, they are willing to undertake the responsibility to motivate and inspire the students.
